Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be telecast live in Kathmandu district. Issuing a public notice on Thursday evening, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, warned against gathering crowds in the pretext of showing games on big screens at night without prior approval.
According to a notice issued by Assistant Chief District Officer Muktinath Rijal, any association, institution or company that wants to organize the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches from June 12 will have to take prior permission from the administration.TAG_OPEN_p_10
} The notice reads, “We request all concerned not to gather crowds in the pretext of showing games on big screens at night without permission and do any activities affecting the community and disturbing peace and security.” “
The application form can be obtained from the official website of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.TAG_OPEN_p_8 The administration has stated that the permission will be granted only after analyzing the location and security sensitivities of the concerned organizations, subject to the conditions mentioned in the petition.
} Strict action will be taken as per the prevailing law if anyone is found disobeying the administration’s notice and broadcasting live at night without permission, crowding or indecent, unruly, undesirable and illegal activities.
