The company has a share capital of Rs 1.70 billion with special reserve of Rs 1.33 billion, catastrophe fund of Rs 111.8 crore, reentered earnings of Rs 24.91 crore and other equity of Rs 17.22 crore. As of mid-July last year, the company had a special reserve of Rs 1.22 billion, a catastrophe fund of Rs 101.2 million, a retained earnings of Rs 42.93 crore and other equity of Rs 19.48 crore.
Similarly, the company’s insurance fund stood at Rs 3.35 billion in the review period. In the previous fiscal year, the insurance fund was Rs 2.62 billion. The size of the insurance fund has increased by 27.93 percent.
During the review period, the company earned a total income of Rs 1,06.55 billion. The company earned a net profit of Rs 1.16 billion in the same period last year. The company’s total premium has decreased by 8.66 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
The company has earned Rs 50.38 crore in net insurance premium till mid-April of the current fiscal year. In the review period, the net premium has increased by 5.78 percent compared to the previous year. The company had posted a net insurance premium of Rs 47.63 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s annualized earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 16.58. The EPS was Rs. 15.70 a year ago. The company has a net worth per share of Rs 209.55 with a P/E ratio of 41.85 times.
