Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank for the current fiscal year 2082. The company has made public the unrevised financial statements for the second quarter (July-December) of 83 B.S.
According to the financial report, the bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.01 billion in the first six months of the current FY. Previous fiscal year 2081. During the same period, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 1.33 billion. The profit of the bank decreased by 24.08 percent compared to the previous year.
In the review year, the distributable profit of the bank stood at Rs 3.35 billion. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 3.33 billion in the same period last year.
The bank’s operating profit stood at Rs 1.96 billion in the current FY. In the previous year, the operating profit was limited to Rs 2.52 billion. The operating profit of the bank is down by 22.05 percent.
In the second quarter, the bank earned an interest income of Rs 4.98 billion. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 4.86 billion in the same period last year. Interest income increased by 2.38 percent.
The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 23.54 billion with a rated earnings of Rs 3.35 billion and reserve of Rs 14.22 billion. In the previous year, the retained earnings were negative by Rs 2.56 billion and the reserves were Rs 12.59 billion.
Till the review year, the bank collected deposit of Rs 340.73 billion and extended loan of Rs 227.32 billion. The bank had collected deposit of Rs 3.42 billion and extended loan of Rs 225.45 billion in the same period of the previous year.
The non-performing assets ratio (NPL) of the bank increased to 7.94 percent in the review period. The bank’s NPL stood at 5.06 per cent in the same period last year.
The bank’s annual earnings per share (EPS) has decreased to Rs 8.62. Last year, EPS was limited to Rs. 11.35. The bank has a net worth of Rs 146.17 per share with a P/E ratio of 21.27 times.
