Kathmandu. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has asked for details of vehicles in use with all the ministries and bodies under the Singha Durbar.
Issuing a letter today, the Office directed the ministry to send details of two-wheelers and four-wheelers in operation or under maintenance to the ministry, departments and subordinate offices. The ministries concerned have to provide the details to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers within the office hours of April 17, 2083.
Details such as brand and model of the vehicle, vehicle number, gear system, type of fuel (diesel/petrol or electric), name and designation of the user, and current condition of the vehicle (to be operated or repaired) have been requested.
The demand for details has been seen as meaningful in the context of the government being tightening the documentation of government resources and means in recent times.
