Kathmandu. Jhapa Constituency No. Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) Balen Sah on his election from constituency 5.
Balen, who was fielded as the Prime Minister from the Rastriya Samajbadi Party (RSP), defeated CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli by a margin of around 50,000 votes from Jhapa-5. He garnered 68,348 votes while Oli garnered 18,734 votes. Balen’s vote share is the highest in the history of parliamentary elections. Because no one has ever received such a large number of votes in parliamentary history.
Sharma, who suffered defeat, wrote a status on his Facebook page, “Balen Babu! Wishing you all the best for your victory. ’
“I wish you a successful 5-year term. ’
