Passport, citizenship and driving license at citizen’s doorstep

Kathmandu. The one-party government of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has set a target of providing passports, citizenship and licenses to the doorsteps of the citizens.

The government led by senior leader Balen Shah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Party (RSP) has set a target of 100 items. With the objective of providing government services at home, this government has set an agenda to modernize the postal service and develop it as a ‘Government Courier Service’. The government aims to deliver passports, citizenship documents, licenses and other documents to the doorsteps of the citizens within 100 days.

Likewise, the government has a goal of providing services such as passport, citizenship, driving license and other services to the citizens in a fast, easy and middle-free manner in a predictable time.

The RSP government has prepared an agenda to prepare a restructuring plan of the office after studying the time and pace within a month to make all public service processes digital, trackable and transparent.

To provide speedy, easy and middle-free services to the citizens, citizenship, passport, national identity card and all services provided by the District Administration Office should be operated through digital and integrated system, the copy of citizenship and passport service should be obtained from any district administration, digital recommendation system should be implemented from the ward level, the national identity card should be used as a compulsory single identity system and all service processes should be made faceless. The government’s agenda is to make it time-bound and trackable.
