Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has registered 12 directives with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs using the legislative powers delegated to the Authority under the provisions of the Insurance Act-2079.
According to the authority, the Directive on Institutional Good Governance of Insurers (Second Amendment), Guidance on Earmark of Investment in Fixed Deposits of Insurers, Risk Based Capital and Solvency Directive-Registered, 2025, Insurer’s Reinsurance Directive (First Amendment), 2080, Directive on Prevention of Financial Investment in Money Laundering, Terrorist Acts and Weapons of Mass Destruction, 2082, 2082, The Insurer’s Foreign Exchange Recommendation Directive, 2082 has been registered.
Similarly, the Guidelines on Targeted Financial Sanctions for Insurer-2025, Guidelines Related to Actuary Appointment for Insurers (First Amendment), Guidelines for Valuation of Assets using Mark-to-Model Approach, and Index-Based Insurance Guidelines have been registered.
