Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has issued a directive to maintain the portfolio of insurance surveyors.
Issuing a notice today, the authority directed the insurance surveyors to carry out portfolio work in the name of all licensed insurance surveyors as per the Insurance Act, 2079, Insurance Rules, 2081 and Insurance Surveyor Directive, 2083. For this, the authority has given 10 days to the insurance surveyor.
The personal details (KYC) of the insurance surveyor in the IRMIS system should be updated by uploading clear and understandable documents.TAG_OPEN_li_15
According to Sub-section (5) of Section 91 of the Insurance Act, an insurance surveyor who has obtained a personal license shall submit an application mentioning the portfolio to maintain the license of the chosen portfolio of his or her expertise pursuant to Rule 45 (1) of the Insurance Rules.TAG_OPEN_li_14
According to Sub-rule (2) of Rule 49 of the Insurance Rules, all the insurance surveyors who have obtained the corporate license will have to submit an application for the maintenance of the classless license.TAG_OPEN_li_13
According to Sub-rule (1) (c) of Rule 49 of the Insurance Rules, all the insurance surveyors who have obtained the personal license of class ‘D’ will have to submit an application.TAG_OPEN_li_12
