Kathmandu. If we look at the data of the last one year, non-life insurers have increased the manpower aggressively compared to life insurers.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the current fiscal year 2082. As of April 2018, there are 6,292 employees working in non-life insurers. In the same period last year, 6,075 people were employed in non-life insurers. In this way, an additional 217 people have been employed in non-life insurance companies in the last one year.
In the last one year, 3 branches of non-life insurers have been added. The number of offices of non-life insurers has increased to 1,154 by the review period from 1,151 in the previous year.
On the other hand, the number of offices of life insurers has decreased. The number of life insurers has shrunk to 1,840 in the review period from 1,847 in the review period last year.
The number of employees in life insurers increased marginally to 6,096 in the review period compared to the previous year. As of April last year, 6,087 people were employed in life insurance companies. In the last one year, only 9 employees have been added to life insurers.
