Kathmandu. Depositors contributing to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will no longer be required to provide biometric for updating customer identification (KYC).
Issuing a public notice, the PADT informed that the office where it works has implemented a provision to recommend online KYC.
According to the Fund, an arrangement has been made to see the KYC details in the fund’s system after the depositor fills in the personal KYC in the online portal of the fund and makes an online recommendation from his office. That is, from now on, the employer organization has been given the task of verifying the KYC details filled by the employees.
After this, the concerned employer organization has to confirm the details of the KYC, so the compulsion to go to the office of Employees Provident Fund again for verification after filling up the KYC details has ended.
