Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Insurance Professional Society (NIPS) Gandaki organized a friendly futsal tournament on Saturday. Nepal Insurance Authority, Gandaki Province Chief Shambhu Prasad Mishra was the chief guest of the tournament.
Addressing the program, Chief Guest Mishra expressed the belief that this type of friendly sports event would help expand brotherhood among the players as well as increase acquaintance, cordiality and trust among the employees working in the insurance sector.
Chairman of the organization, Chhabi Poudel, who chaired the program, said that the annual programs are being conducted as per the objectives of NIPS. He informed that various programs would be organized this year as well.
The program was hosted by the secretary of the organization Shiva Subedi and the welcome speech was given by the treasurer Suresh Regmi. The program was coordinated by Suresh Babu Khatri.
A total of 19 insurance companies took part in the competition. The team of Himalayan Everest Insurance, Prabhu Insurance, Trust Micro Insurance and Oriental Insurance became the first runner-up.
According to the organizers, the friendly tournament has played a significant role in strengthening mutual relations among insurance professionals.
