Kathmandu. Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has announced the financial year 2082. The company has made public its financial statements for the third quarter (July-March) of 2018.
According to the financial report, NIFRA has earned a net profit of Rs 64.33 crore in the first nine months of the current FY. Previous fiscal year 2081. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 90 crore in the third quarter of FY18. The profit of the bank decreased by 28.53 percent compared to the previous year.
The operating profit of the bank has decreased to Rs 92.02 crore till mid-April of the current year. Operating profit was Rs. 1.28 billion in the same period of the previous year. The operating profit of the bank has also decreased by 28.42 percent.
The bank has earned Rs 1.08 billion in interest till mid-April. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1,000 crore in the same period last year. Interest income decreased by 27.03 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 21.60 billion and a surplus of Rs 3.42 billion. In the same period last year, the reserves and surplus were Rs 3.84 billion. The size of reserves and surplus has also decreased by 11.10 percent.
During the review period, the bank collected deposit of Rs 7.80 billion and extended loan of Rs 28.54 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the bank collected deposit of Rs 7.78 billion and extended loan of Rs 24.50 billion.
The bank’s annual earnings per share (EPS) declined to Rs 3.97 in the third quarter of the current FY. EPS was Rs 5.56 in the same period last year. The bank has a net worth of Rs 115.84 per share with a P/E ratio of 67.44 times.
