NIC ASIA Bank donates Rs. 2.21 crore to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund

KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank Limited has contributed financial assistance to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Relief Fund (PMKRF) for the rescue and relief distribution to the people affected by the massive floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district. The bank has contributed Rs 2.21 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Relief Fund (PMKR) with Rs 2 crore as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Rs 2.1 million collected from its directors and employees.

The Chairman of the Bank, Mr. Ashok Kumar Agrawal and the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr. Sujit Kumar Shakya jointly handed over the cheque to the Honorable Finance Minister of Government of Nepal Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

The bank has provided the amount to provide relief to Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other areas due to the unimaginable floods in the Bhotekoshi River on the morning of 2083/5/2008.

The bank has expressed sorrow over the loss of physical and human life in the area due to the unimaginable floods. Also, the bank has expressed its heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their lives due to the floods and prayed for the strength of the family members to be patient in this hour of grief.
