Kathmandu. Pawan Kumar Acharya has assumed charge as the newly appointed CEO of Sanima Bank. According to the decision of the Board of Directors of Sanima Bank Limited held on November 10, 2025, Acharya has been appointed as the CEO of Sanima Bank.
Acharya, who has been making special contributions to Sanima Bank for 21 years, holds a master’s degree from Pittsburg State University, USA and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from MNIT, Jaipur, India. Also, among the academic achievements, he secured the third rank in the SLC examination from Adarsh Vidya Mandir High School.
Prior to assuming the charge of CEO, he was the Senior Deputy CEO of the Bank. During his long career in Sanima Bank, he has headed more than ten branches and departments.
His main areas of work include credit evaluation, digitalization and project finance. He also served as the Chairman of Sanima Capital, a subsidiary of Sanima Bank. Apart from the banking sector, he has more than four years of professional experience as an engineer. He also served as a visiting faculty member for five years.
“Based on Acharya’s analytical skills, strategic thinking and banking experience, the bank is looking forward to further success and reputation under his leadership,” the bank said in a statement.
