Kathmandu. On the occasion of Global Money Week, a financial literacy program was organized by the central office of Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha in coordination with Balkot Cluster, Bhaktapur and Balkot Branch at Shree Adarsha Secondary School, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Ward No. More than 100 people including grade 11 students, employees and security personnel participated in the program with the support of Traffic Police Office, Sanothimi and Adarsha Secondary School.
The program was hosted by Raghunath Subedi of the central office and the participants were welcomed by Assistant Executive Officer of the organization, Birkha Bahadur Bohara. Similarly, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Pawan Kumar Shrestha highlighted the importance of the program.
Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, Chief of Human Resource Management and Training Department of the organization, facilitated the program and imparted training to the students on financial literacy, importance of savings, safe use of digital financial services and responsible financial behavior.
Global Money Week{{TAG_CLOSE_b_10 TAG_OPEN_b_10}} is held every year from March 16 to 22. In Nepal, various financial institutions have been actively celebrating this campaign under the direction and call of Nepal Rastra Bank.
In this regard, the organization has been conducting various programs with the objective of increasing financial literacy at the school and community level through its various branches.
The program has disseminated the message to youths and students to develop financial knowledge and awareness, adopt responsible financial behavior and use digital mediums safely.
