Normally, in the first hour of trading, the trading time will be closed for 20 minutes if the NEPSE index rises or decreases by 4 percent. If the market rises or decreases by 5 percent, trading is suspended for 40 minutes. Trading is suspended for the rest of the time when the market reopens when it rises or decreases by 6 percent.
Therefore, the 33.34 percent decline seen on Nepse’s website today is not real. This is evident when there is a technical problem.
An official of NEPSE has found an error in the data displayed on NEPSE’s website due to a technical problem. “Technicians are working to resolve the problem,” the official said, adding, “The problem will be resolved soon.” ’
