NEPSE declares dividend of 11 life insurers

Kathmandu. Out of 12 life insurance companies listed in NEPSE, 11 have declared dividend and most of them have already held their AGM. Among the NEPSE listed companies, all life insurance companies except Himalayan Life have paid dividend to their shareholders this year.

These companies have announced the results of the distribution to their shareholders from the profits of the last financial year. Asian Life Insurance, Surya Jyoti Life Insurance, Reliable Nepal Life Insurance, LIC Nepal, National Life Insurance, Sanima Life Insurance, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance, Sun Nepal Life Insurance, IME Life Insurance and Citizen Life Insurance have declared their dividends.

Asian Life Insurance

}

The company has received 5 percent bonus shares and 5 percent bonus shares from the distributable profit of the last fiscal year. The company has decided to give 10.5263 percent dividend including cash dividend (including tax).

The company has decided to hold its 18th annual general meeting on February 24. It has also decided to close the book on February 29 for the purpose of dividends and meetings. This means that only the shareholders who have been traded in NEPSE till February 12 will be eligible to receive the dividend and attend the meeting.

IME Life Insurance

The company has declared a dividend of 10.5263 percent of its current paid-up capital from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 10.5263 percent cash dividend. The company has already completed its AGM.

Nepal Life

The company has decided to distribute 21.05 percent dividend on its paid-up capital from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 21.05 percent cash dividend including 5 percent bonus shares and tax on dividends. The company has completed its 26th Annual General Meeting.

Citizen Life

The company has decided to distribute 20 percent dividend on its paid-up capital from the profit of the last FY. The company will distribute 20 percent cash dividend. The company has already completed its AGM.

Sun Nepal Life

The company has announced a total dividend of 20.2632 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 5 percent bonus shares and 15.2632 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The company has already completed its AGM.

National Life

The company has announced a total dividend of 12.5 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 4 percent bonus shares and 8.5 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The company has completed its 38th Annual General Meeting.

Sanima Reliance Life

The company has declared a total dividend of 10.178 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 10.178 percent cash dividend. The company has already completed its AGM.

Prabhu Mahalakshmi Life

The company has announced a total dividend of 8.421 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 4 percent bonus shares and 4.421 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The insurance company has completed its ninth annual general meeting.

Suryajyoti Life

The company has decided to distribute 13 percent dividend to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company will distribute 13 percent cash dividend. The company has completed its 18th Annual General Meeting.

Reliable Nepal Life

The company has announced a total dividend of 12 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last financial year. The company has decided to distribute 12 percent cash dividend. The insurance company has completed its ninth annual general meeting.

LIC Nepal

The company has declared a total dividend of 21.05 percent to its shareholders from the profit of the last FY. The company has decided to distribute 21.05 percent cash dividend. LIC Nepal has completed its 24th Annual General Meeting.

Life insurance companies that have declared dividends have been found to be focusing on cash dividends rather than bonus shares in this financial year.

Himalayan Life Insurance, which has been empty-handed this year, is going to hold its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 12. The assembly will begin at 10:00 am at Amrapali Banquet in Bhatbhateni, Kathmandu.
