Nepal’s first Marwari woman to climb Mt Everest

Kathmandu. Preeti Agrawal Rateriya has created history by climbing the top of Mt. Everest for the first time from the minority Marwari community of Nepal. She had successfully stepped on the peak of Mount Everest on the morning of May 21, 2026.

‘The Summit Force Pvt. Ltd. According to Nga Tenji Sherpa, Founder of Mt Everest Pvt. Ltd., Preeti along with climbing guides Pasang Sherpa and Nima Thinduk Sherpa successfully scaled Mt Everest. With this record-breaking ascent, Preeti has become the world’s first pranic hitter and arhatik yogi to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

Continued success in mountaineering

The successful ascent of Mount Everest is a big and important milestone in Preeti’s mountaineering journey. Earlier, she had also made history by successfully climbing the world’s eighth highest mountain, Mt Manaslu.  On September 23, 2025, she climbed Manaslu with Pasang Sherpa, a guide of ‘The Summit Force’.

Big achievement in a short time

Preeti started her mountaineering journey in May 2024 by climbing Mount Lobuche. She has since successfully climbed Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, in October 2024 and Mera Peak in April 2025. In a short span of time, she has made the name of the Marwari community and the whole of Nepal shine on the peak of Mount Everest.
