Kathmandu. The Nepal Vegetable Ghee Oil Producers’ Association has extended its support to the loss of life and property caused by the massive floods in Bhotekoshi. The government has expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property in the settlements of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, East Nawalparasi and other districts due to the severe surge from Sijang side of China on August 26.
The Nepal Vegetable Ghee Oil Producers’ Association and its member industries have deposited one crore and one lakh rupees in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund as a gesture of national unity, social cooperation and humanitarian sentiment in such a sensitive situation. Accordingly, the President of the association, Vikas Dugad, along with other members of the association, handed over a cheque of the assistance amount to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.
In view of this serious situation, the current situation is that the government should take immediate steps to provide immediate relief, treatment and other necessary assistance to the affected family. At the same time, it is necessary to take special vigilance in the rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure in the affected areas for a long-term solution. In this regard, the active initiative, timely decision and necessary assistance of the concerned agencies will provide great relief to the victim’s family
