Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has said there is no problem in the supply of cooking gas (LP). Issuing a press release today, the NOC said that there has been no direct impact in the supply of LPG in Nepal so far due to the problems seen in the Middle East region.
Although various countries are adopting precautionary measures regarding the sale, distribution and use of petroleum products in the international market, the supply of cooking gas in Nepal is normal.
Considering the possible risks, the corporation has urged the consumers to use gas only as per the need and not to hoard unnecessarily. The NOC has urged all to purchase and use petroleum products and gas only in the required quantity. It has also urged the government not to stock additional cylinders when one cylinder is sufficient every month.
The corporation has urged the public to increase the consumption of electricity instead of gas, to increase the use of electric energy along with gas, to use ride-sharing facilities and to use generators for electricity.
