Kathmandu. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has introduced a new policy called “Nepal Life Insurance Scheme ‘Nari Suraksha Insurance’.
“One plan is multiple-beneficial! The scheme has been launched with the slogan ‘Easy access for all women’. It is a special scheme focused on the life, health, savings and economic security of women.
The main features of this scheme are providing cash benefit on the sum assured on the anniversary of the policy, incremental death benefit: The sum assured on death will increase by 25% every 5 years. The offer, which includes pregnancy care and pregnancy complications supplementary contract facility for the first time in life insurance sector of Nepal, will usher in a future that ensures life, health, savings, and financial security of women at the same time.
Nepal Life Insurance Scheme is a special life insurance policy focusing on the safety of women’s life, self-reliance and assurance of their future. For the first time in Nepal, Nepal Life Insurance has launched this scheme with an aim to help women live a dignified life with equality. Dedicated to women, this scheme provides regular income, financial security and long-term financial security at the same time.
Motherhood is the most beautiful, important and sensitive time of a woman’s life. However, during pregnancy, serious health problems can sometimes occur. For the first time in Nepal, Nepal Life Insurance has introduced pregnancy care and pregnancy complications supplementary contract facility with a special focus on motherhood security.
According to the Pregnancy Complication Contract Facility, if any of the 11 serious pregnancy complications covered under the Supplementary Contract are confirmed during pregnancy, then a lump sum of Rs. Rs 1 lakh will be available immediately. Under the additional complementary contract facility, Nepal Life Insurance will provide a lump sum of Rs. 10,000 for pregnancy related health services if the insured mother is proven pregnant during the term of the insurance period.
The minimum sum insured is Rs 2,50,000 and the maximum sum insured is Rs 2,50,000 depending on the income source. The entry age of the insured will be 18 to 65 years.
Various voluntary supplementary contract benefits such as ADB (accidental death benefit), PTD (Total Permanent Disability Benefit), PwB (Insurance Waiver Benefit) can also be availed with this plan.
