Kathmandu. Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has successfully organized the “Leadership Excellence Awards 2026” program on the special occasion of its silver jubilee (25th anniversary). A total of 637 agents and agency managers from all over the country participated in the program organized at Hotel Yak and Yeti in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu from August 19 with the slogan “Everest Year – Clouds and Beyond”.
The event was jointly inaugurated by the company’s Director Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, Proprietor Bimal Prasad Dhakal, Proprietor Prabin Prakash Chhetri and CEO Prabin Raman Parajuli.
Agrawal, the director of the company, said that Nepal Life has created a history of trust, stability and leadership in the life insurance industry in the journey of 25 years and in the fiscal year 2082/83, the company has set a historic record by collecting more than Rs. 13 billion in premiums. Stating that it is the result of the trust and hard work of agents, agency managers, employees and customers, he said that the “Everest Year – Clouds and Beyond” campaign for the fiscal year 2083/84 is the roadmap for the company’s future journey.
Similarly, Director Dhakal urged the agents and agency managers to be more responsible for quality service delivery by fully complying with professional discipline, good governance, regulatory provisions and AML/CFT provisions along with the expansion of the business. He pointed out that trust, transparency and business ethics are the basis of the long-term success of the company.
Chief Executive Officer Pravin Raman Parajuli described the fiscal year 2082/83 as a historic year for the company. He expressed his commitment to accelerate the digital transformation in the coming days, and to make customer experience better through the optimum use of cutting-edge technology, customer-friendly digital services, based decision making system and business process automation.
During the program, medals, certificates and cash prizes were given to the agents and agency managers who performed the best professionally in the financial year 2082/83. In addition, special honors and cash prizes were also given to the best performing agents and agency managers across Nepal on the basis of outstanding professional achievement.
The program included leadership development, professional review, motivational sessions, strategic presentations, felicitation ceremonies and cultural programs. The participants shared their experiences and expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to achieve their future business goals.

During this period, the life insurance fund of the company reached Rs 285 billion and the death claim payment rate remained at 99.13 percent.
The company has so far issued more than 55.79 lakh insurance policies and the total premium collection has reached Rs 362 billion. Similarly, the company has also contributed significantly to the national economy and revenue by paying Rs 17.71 billion in taxes to the Government of Nepal.
