Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) organized a discussion and interaction program on internal audit of the insurer at the central office of the NEA, Kupandole, Lalitpur today.
The program has been organized with the objective of collecting suggestions regarding the amendment of the Internal Audit Directive of the Insurance of the Insurance Limited-2079 issued by the Authority in accordance with the time.
On the occasion, Executive Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Sushil Dev Subedi stressed on the need of making the internal auditing of the insurer more systematic, professional and refined so as to minimize risk identification in the entire insurance sector.
On the occasion, Executive Director Subedi asked the officials to give suggestions on the issues to be included in the revision of the internal audit guidelines of the insurer and the work to be done to remove the existing shortcomings.
On the occasion, Assistant Director of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Gokul Raj Dahal gave a presentation on the issues proposed in the draft of the internal audit directive of the insurer that the authority is going to revise.
In the program, the participants gave their suggestions regarding Risk Rating, Branch Audit Coverage, Sample Size, Internal Audit Function / Internal Audit Reporting Requirement in the draft internal audit guidelines of the insurer.
Deputy Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Rajendra Maharjan said that the guidelines will be finalized by incorporating the suggestions received from the program.
Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Director Pujan Dhungel Adhikari and Director Shambha Raj Lamichhane were also present on the occasion.
Similarly, the chief of the internal audit section of the insurer and internal auditors were also present in the program.
