Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is to operate a special flight to the Gulf region in view of the disruption of air services in the Middle East and Gulf countries due to the escalating tension and security challenges.
The flights to Dubai and Dammam are scheduled to be operated from April 3 to 5 (April 21 to 23) at the initiative of Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal. Regular flights to the region were suspended from February 28 due to the security situation in the Middle East and the Gulf.
A high-level meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 18 under the chairmanship of Minister Khanal took the decision to facilitate travel of Nepali citizens and maintain essential air connectivity. Yes.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pledged to continue coordinating with all agencies concerned for the welfare and security of Nepali citizens,” the ministry said.
Meanwhile, on April 1, 291 Nepalese nationals landed at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa by a Kuwait Airways flight. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the mortal remains of 9 Nepalis who died due to various natural causes in Kuwait were also brought to Nepal by the same flight.
