Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has directed life insurance companies to conduct insurance promotion programmes with practical knowledge at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
Issuing a collective directive to all life insurers on Wednesday, the NRA has directed to organize programs in one school of each municipality in the designated districts and to reflect the need for insurance with practical knowledge about insurance.
In order to spread awareness about life insurance in the villages, nea had designated four districts each to all the then 19 life insurers in 2077 BS.
All the 14 insurers, who have received instructions regarding the insurance promotion program included in the circular issued by the NRA, will have to organize at least one program every month in the designated district and program in at least one school of each municipality. NeA has given the responsibility of conducting insurance promotion program in 8 to 12 districts to the merged life insurers and to the merged life insurers.
Life insurers will have to submit the details of the insurance promotion program to the Nepal Insurance Authority on a quarterly basis.
