National Life’s life insurance fund jumps 10% to nearly 14% in business

Kathmandu. National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has published its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2082/83. According to the company’s report, the life insurance fund of the company increased by 10.35 percent to Rs 103.71 billion during the review period from Rs 93.98 billion in the same period of the previous FY. In the review period, the company’s total insurance premium has increased by 13.86 percent to Rs 24.84 billion and its net premium has increased by 12.51 percent to Rs 24.15 billion.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 41.28 crore in the fourth quarter of the current FY, down 10.23 percent from Rs 370.6 million in the corresponding period of the current FY.TAG_OPEN_p_6 Similarly, the company earned Rs 6.64 and net worth per share of Rs 127.75.

The paid-up capital of the company increased by 4 percent to Rs 5.69 billion and the disaster fund increased by 5.42 percent to Rs 745.9 million.TAG_OPEN_p_5 Retarded earnings, on the other hand, declined by 43.76 percent to Rs 48.98 crore.
