Kathmandu. Mukesh Kumar Kapoor has resigned from the post of Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Himalayan Reinsurance Company (HRE).
Kapoor resigned from the post of acting CEO on Monday (June 8). On June 17, the board of directors of the company appointed Kapoor as the acting CEO of the company.
Himalayan Ricky CEO Upasana Poudel was automatically suspended after the Office of the Government Attorney filed a charge sheet in the court as per the Securities Act, 2063. After the post of CEO of Himalayan Reema fell vacant, Kapoor was appointed as the acting CEO. However, within a week of being appointed acting CEO, Kapoor resigned.
The office has filed cases against 81 people associated with the insurance sector, including CEO Poudel.
