Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mountain Energy Nepal Limited has published its unaudited financial statements for the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83. According to the report, the company’s electricity sales income increased by 17.01 percent to Rs 1.07 billion in the first quarter of April.
In the same period of the previous FY, the company’s electricity sales income was Rs 92.27 crore.
During this period, the company has also received Rs 9 lakh in insurance claims.TAG_OPEN_div_23 The company’s operating profit increased by 3.86 percent to Rs 68.63 crore. During the period, the company’s interest income stood at Rs 2.90 crore. The company’s interest expense has come down to Rs 16.15 crore from Rs 18.17 crore. The company’s profit before tax stood at Rs 54.28 crore. The profit of the company has increased due to the increase in income from the sale of electricity and the reduction in interest expenses.
The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 3.TAG_OPEN_div_21 12 billion in the review period. The company has a reserve of Rs 1.31 billion. The company had posted a paid-up capital of Rs 2.60 billion in the same period last year. The company has increased its paid-up capital after distributing 20 percent bonus shares from the fiscal year 2081/82.
The company’s earnings per share stood at Rs 16.8 TAG_OPEN_div_19 9 during the period. Despite a 20 percent increase in capital, the company managed to maintain EPS of Rs 16.89. The net worth per share of the company is Rs 142.24.
