Kathmandu. In the eternal silence of the universe, gossip will soon be heard. Until now, we humans need telescopes to see stars and galaxies from Earth. But, the day is not far when you can sit among the stars and sip tea or coffee. Space is no longer just a place for scientific research, it’s becoming one of the world’s most expensive and exciting vacation destinations.
To date, about 100 tourists have traveled on spacecraft from Blue Origin and other space tourism companies, and the number continues to grow. Preparations have begun to build a space hotel in view of the growing interest. Which allows people to spend their next vacation in a luxurious and zero-gravity room above the clouds.
The Voyager Station, the world’s first space hotel, is being developed by California-based company Above Space. This space station will be like a giant spinning wheel. Its most important feature is its artificial gravity system. According to the theory of physics, when the station rotates, the centrifugal force will cause people to experience gravitational pull like the moon. This means you don’t have to walk normally, drink water normally, and struggle for basic necessities like toilet or food.
Rich can buy villas here
The hotel will be spread over 50,000 square meters. It will accommodate 400 guests and crew. This will also include villas that the rich can buy privately. Amenities include gyms, bars, cinemas and restaurants serving gourmet food, such as Earth’s food instead of “space food”. Construction is expected to begin soon.
Voyager Station 2027. It is expected to be operational by the 28th. Axiom’s first module is expected to dock to the ISS by the end of 2026. Billions of dollars are being spent to build these hotels.
Knowledge is being transformed. It is not only contributing to research but also transforming the lives of ordinary people. The US space agency NASA is now opening the International Space Station (ISS) to private companies to build hotels and laboratories.
The construction of Axiom Space’s first commercial module is in the final stages. The famous French designer Philippe Starc has designed its interior. The walls are covered with soft and velvet padding to prevent injury during zero-gravity impact.
It will have high-speed Wi-Fi for connectivity. This will allow tourists to stream Instagram Live directly from space. NASA has made it clear that by 2030, when the USS is retired, these Axiom modules will be separated and become the world’s first private commercial station.
However, there will be challenges in providing infrastructure in space. Logistics, food, water, waste management and running a full hotel will all be challenging. That’s why scientists are working on machines that can safely fry or boil at low gravity. These hotels are using self-medicating equipment to protect themselves from space debris. This can automatically fill the holes caused by small stones.
Ticket price in millions
}
Tickets for space hotels can cost between $20 and $50 million. However, money alone is not enough to stay in a space hotel; Tourists should also undergo at least 15-20 weeks of training. These include centrifuge training – the art of handling the body at high speed and emergency evacuation.
Elon Musk’s company SpaceX plans to use Starships to transport tourists to these hotels. This can reduce travel costs in the future. The coming years will determine whether the middle class will ever be able to see the sun hidden behind the moon. Currently, it is on its way to becoming a ‘cosmic paradise’ for the rich. –Agency
