Kathmandu. American life insurance company MetLife has announced a financial year 2082. The company has made public the unrevised financial statements for the third quarter (July-March) of 83 B.S.
According to the report, the company has earned a profit of Rs 30.25 crore in the first half of the current FY. Previous fiscal year 2081. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 34.51 crore in the same period last year. The company’s net profit declined by 12.33 percent in the review year compared to the previous year.
During the review period, the company had a calamity fund of Rs 64.27 crore, retained earnings of Rs 2.54 billion and other equity of Rs 1.29 billion. As of mid-July last year, the company had Rs 612.0 million in disaster fund, Rs 2.86 billion in retained earnings and Rs 1.24 billion in other equity.
As of mid-April of the current fiscal year, the company’s life insurance fund stood at Rs 32.06 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the life insurance fund was Rs 28.29 billion. The life insurance fund size of the company increased by 13.34 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
During the review period, the company earned Rs 4.90 billion in total insurance premiums. The company had earned Rs 4.44 billion in total insurance premiums in the same period. The company’s total premium has increased by 10.37 percent in the review year compared to the previous year.
The company has earned Rs 4.70 billion in net insurance premium till mid-April of the current FY. The company had earned a net premium of Rs 4.26 billion in the same period of the previous FY. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net premium has increased by 10.32 percent.
