Kathmandu. MetLife and Global Citizen have announced Footwork for Futures. It is a global football-themed social networking challenge that supports children’s access to quality education and sport in a way that fosters more confident and resilient communities.
Footwork for Futures invites people to share and include a short video of them juggling — or trying to juggle — a soccer ball on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, or Facebook, or by submitting #FootworkForFutures a video through the Global Citizen app. For each eligible video submission, MetLife will contribute up to US$5 per video and up to US$100,000, to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund to support access to quality education and sports for children through grants to community-based organizations around the world.
The social campaign builds on MetLife Foundation’s $9 million contribution as a founding donor to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The fund provides grants to organizations in communities around the world that provide educational and sporting programs. Footwork for Futures uses the excitement of this summer’s FIFA World Cup 2026 to help organisations scale up their initiatives aimed at boosting children’s confidence and strengthening communities.
