Kathmandu. MAXUS Nepal, under the Himalaya Organization, has decided to provide a total assistance of Rs. 70,00,000 (Rupees Seventy Lakhs) to SAIC MAXUS Automotive Co., Ltd. in coordination with China, to provide relief and rehabilitation to the families and communities affected by the devastating floods in Nepal on September 26. It has been decided to provide a total assistance of Rs. 70,00,000 (Rupees 70 lakhs).
Out of the declared amount, Rs. 50,00,000 (Rs. 50 lakh) will be transferred to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, which will support the relief, rescue, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts run by the Government of Nepal, while the remaining Rs. 20,00,000 will be distributed in coordination with social organizations and local governments in the flood disaster area. These relief materials will be identified and distributed in the areas most affected by the disaster and in need of immediate assistance.
For this type of direct distribution, MAXUS Nepal will coordinate with the concerned agencies and stakeholders to identify priority areas and items and provide them, while the nature of the relief materials, the distribution area, the distribution process and the implementation schedule are currently in the process of discussion and coordination with the concerned parties.
Likewise, the date of handing over the relief amount to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund and detailed information regarding the distribution of relief materials would be made public separately after the necessary coordination and preparations.
