Kathmandu. Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and other affected areas due to the sudden and devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River on August 23. The organization has paid tribute to those who lost their precious lives in this disaster and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
In addition, the organization sympathizes with the pain and difficulties faced by the general public, the employees working in banks and financial institutions and various organizations and their families who have been incommunicado due to the disaster. In order to support the search and rescue, immediate relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the people affected by the natural disaster, a total of Rs 13 lakh has been provided to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund by the employees working in the organization as per the one-door policy of the government.
A total of Rs 1.3 million has been deposited in the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund, including Rs 573,998.41 from the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund of Mahuli Laghubitta and Rs 726,01.59 voluntarily collected from the employees of the organization.
The bank vouchers and certificates deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund were handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle by the organization’s Chairman Mohan Hari Acharya and Director Nimananda Kandel. On the occasion, the representatives of the organization expressed solidarity with the efforts being made by the Government of Nepal in the rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the disaster-affected people and expressed the belief that this assistance would contribute to the relief and rehabilitation of the affected families.
The Mahuli Laghubitta family has expressed its gratitude to all the concerned bodies of the government, local levels, security agencies, health workers, social organizations, volunteers and all the supporters who have been working round the clock in search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by this difficult time.
Mahuli Laghubitta expressed its commitment to its corporate social responsibility and wished for the speedy rehabilitation of the disaster-affected citizens, normalization of normal life and reconstruction of the affected areas.
