Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has organized the Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League 2026-Season 5 on the occasion of its 32nd anniversary. Prime Commercial Bank Ltd. and Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd. bagged the second position in the tournament held in Kathmandu from Sunday to May 6.
A total of 24 teams including 9 commercial banks, 7 development banks, 3 finance companies, 1 microfinance company, 3 insurance companies and 1 merchant bank participated in the competition. The prize distribution program for the winners of the competition was also held on June 5.
The trophy was handed over to Prime Commercial Bank in the presence of former national cricketer and former captain of Nepal National Cricket team, Gyanendra Malla. Co-winner Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited was also awarded the runner-up trophy on the same occasion. Laxman Pradhan of Lumbini Bikas Bank won the best fielder, Anil Bhujel of GIC Insurance the best wicket-keeper, Mohan Kumar Shrestha of Nepal Bank the best bowler, Srijan Subedi of Machhapuchchhre Bank the best batsman and Kritarth Shakya of Prime Commercial Bank the best player of the tournament were named the best bowler of the tournament. Sanima GIC Insurance has won the Fair Play Award.
