Kathmandu. The prize distribution program of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank ‘Bijchitra Photography Competition-3’ was held on 2082/11/01. On the occasion of World Photography Day, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has been organizing Bijchitra Photography Contest.
Various photos were collected from August 11, 2082 to October 14, 2082. In order to participate in this competition, various photos were received from different photographers as per the rules of taking photos reflecting the local small and medium businesses. All the photos included in the contest were excellent and sent a positive message through locally run businesses. The 15 best images were selected by a three-member jury for the evaluation of the competition.
In the program organized in Kathmandu, the prizes were distributed to the photographers who won the first, second and third position and Public Choice Award. Suyog Kunwar, Paras Bajracharya and Devanand Pokhrel came first, second and third respectively.
The winners received cash prizes of Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. Sharman Raj Bhandari has been awarded the Public Choice Award by getting the highest number of votes. He received a certificate and Rs 10,000.
On the occasion, top 15 photographers were awarded with certificates. The prize money was also increased in comparison to the previous edition. The bank believes that such activities will help promote and promote local businesses, entrepreneurship and local art.
