Litterateur Ganesh Khadka’s ‘Country Not on the Map’ launched in Seychelles

Kathmandu. It is written by litterateur and INLS central vice-president Ganesh Khadka, edited by litterateur and editor Ramesh Dahal and published by Milap Publications Pvt. Ltd. An anthology of essays published by Kathmandu has been launched in Victoria, Mahe Island, the capital of the East African country Seychelles.

The program was presided over by Mr. Prem Bahadur Chand, Vice President of NRNA Seychelles, Chief Guest Mr. Manoj BK, Regional Coordinator, NRNA Africa and Special Guest Mr. Khesena Lingden, Regional Women Coordinator, NRNA Africa. NRNA Seychelles Women Vice President Pabitra Bhattarai welcomed the guests with welcome speech.

Speaking on behalf of the chief guest, NRNA Africa Regional Coordinator Manoj BK said, “Writer Khadka has brought to us in the form of a book by artfully writing about the experiences and experiences of the Nepalis during his visit to Seychelles, a country that is not even in the map. Since this book has come not only as a book but also as a historical document, every Nepali should keep it on their pillows. ‘

Ganesh Khadka, the author of the book, recalled that he had to work hard and painfully to write the book. I have been asking, so much so that even after searching on the map, I did not find a country named Seychelles, I have been thinking that I must write something about it, and as a result of this, I have been able to publish a book about the country which is not on the map today. ‘

Similarly, editor Ramesh Dahal said that this book is not just a reading material for Nepali readers, but a powerful medium for introspection. It will force us to redefine our society, dreams and reality,” he said. “The country not on the map” has become an important, serious and memorable work of contemporary Nepali travel essay literature.

In the program jointly organized by NRNA Seychelles and INLS Africa Continental Chapter, poet Mahendra Bhattarai, a member of the chapter, talked about the country which was not in the map. The program was facilitated by the General Secretary of INLS Africa Chapter, Kavi R. C. Rai and member poet Gayatri Kulung.
