Nepal Life Insurance has earned Rs 9.13 billion in insurance premiums till mid-April of the current fiscal year. The second is National Life. During the review period, the company has collected Rs 5.04 billion in insurance premiums. The company’s new business increased by 23.09 percent in the review period compared to the same period last year. The company had collected Rs 4.09 billion in insurance premiums till April last year.
Life Insurance Corporation Nepal (LIC Nepal) is the third company to bring in more new business. The company has collected Rs 2.13 billion in insurance premiums till April last year which increased by 29.32 percent to Rs 2.76 billion in the review period.
Similarly, Sun Jyoti Life earned Rs 2.46 billion, Citizen Life earned Rs 2.20 billion, Himalayan Life earned Rs 1.96 billion and Asian Life earned Rs 1.93 billion. In comparison to the previous year, Surya Jyoti Life’s new business increased by 19.69 percent, Citizen Life by 42.92 percent, Himalayan Life by 2.08 percent and Asian Life by 39.18 percent.
