Laxmi Sunrise Bank Supports Enterprise Innovation in Digital December

Kathmandu. Laxmi Sunrise Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aadyanta Advisory Pvt. Ltd. and the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) to strengthen the scope of technology and artificial intelligence innovation in Nepal under the Digital December 2025 Empowering Enterprises} campaign.

Currently in its seventh year, the Digital December campaign started as a digital awareness campaign and today has grown into a strategic platform for enterprise transformation. This phase of the project aims to transform high value, high volume of business transaction from cash and cheque to a secure digital medium, connect and integrate banking services into enterprises’ ecosystems through APIs and host to host connectivity and establish digital platforms as the primary means of business payments.

The MoU aims to expand innovation through the bank’s enterprise digitalization initiatives to provide early-stage innovators, startups and entrepreneurs with a genuine banking infrastructure and thematic expertise to make available capital.

From digital capture to digital creation

Under this MoU, Laxmi Sunrise Bank will explore collaboration areas that align with the core of Digital December 2025—API enablement, platform connectivity, and enterprise readiness. This includes expert sessions for innovators on open APIs or sandbox environments chosen for the development of prototype of enterprise-relevant digital solutions, market readiness and scalability assessment by engaging with high-potential enterprises at an early stage, and expert sessions on digital finance, fintech-based growth and startup and scale-up capital access.

The collaboration will also support three nationwide initiatives supported by the U.S. Embassy—{{TAG_OPEN_em_18}Seeding and Scaling Innovations, Code for Impact Hackathons and U.S.–Nepal Commercial Diplomacy Discussion Series . Around 400 young innovators, early-stage founders and budding entrepreneurs from all 7 provinces will participate in these programs. The programs aim to prepare entrepreneurs and promote the development of AI-based solutions in sectors such as fintech, agriculture, tourism, education, health, and climate resilience.

Synergy of enterprise payments with the innovation economy

Aligning Digital December’s enterprise payments-centric approach with the realm of innovation, Laxmi Sunrise Bank has established digital banking not only as an agent for operational improvement but also as the foundation stone of Nepal’s innovation economy. This MoU reflects the transition from single product ownership to platform-based banking, where APIs, integrated payment systems, and host-to-host connectivity enable businesses to expand securely and effectively.

While Aadyanta Advisory will coordinate the program design, guidance, and engagement, AmCham Nepal and Aadhyanta Fund Management 2025 are nearing its conclusion with a month-long nationwide enterprise engagement, this MoU highlights Laxmi Sunrise Bank’s efforts towards empowering enterprises, innovators, and systems that will shape the next phase of Nepal’s digital development by moving beyond the digitalization of transactions.
