Kathmandu. The Labour and Culture Party has secured its second victory in the House of Representatives election. The number of lawmakers has reached two after party founder Harka Raj Rai (Sampang) was elected from Sunsari-1.
Sampang won the election with 35,741 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Goma Tamang who got 27,249 votes. Sampang defeated Tamang by a margin of 8,492 votes.
Earlier, Khotang Constituency No. Similarly, Aren Rai of the Labour and Culture Party has been elected from Constituency 1.
