Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The inter-school quiz competition on Koshi province level insurance was held at the hall of Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday. The program was chaired by Preeti Dev, Chief of Nepal Insurance Authority’s Koshi Province Office and facilitated by quiz master Manoj Tiwari. The participants of the competition presented their knowledge and capacity on various topics related to the insurance sector.
Harsha Singh, Suraj Paswan and Sambhav Bhattarai of Maryland Secondary School won the first position while the team of Keshav Jha, Vishesh Poudel and Alisha Sapkota of Shikshadeep Boarding School became the second runner-up.
Similarly, Krish Khatiwada, Anukul Acharya and Prajwal Acharya of Shree Pokhariya Secondary School secured the third position.
Speaking at the program, President Preeti Dev said that the role of students is important in spreading awareness about insurance. She expressed confidence that such programs will help students learn about financial discipline, risk management and the importance of insurance. She said that various programs would be organized at the school level in the coming days on the issue of insurance.
The winners of the competition were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively. The organizers said that such programs will be continued in the coming days with the objective of expanding insurance education at the school level.
Students from various schools of Koshi Province participated enthusiastically in the competition organized with the objective of promoting insurance knowledge, awareness and financial literacy. A total of 6 teams including Pokhariya Secondary School, Birat Campus, Biratnagar, Shikshadeep Boarding School, City Secondary School, Maryland Secondary School and Siddhartha Shishu Sadan Secondary School took part in the competition.
