Kathmandu. SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) has pledged to build AI-powered insurance fraud prevention infrastructure as part of its broader financial sector reform agenda for 2026. The purpose of which is to strengthen the detection and prevention of insurance fraud.
This has been mentioned in the Commission’s policy agenda as part of its plan to make financial services more reliable. According to the Commission, it will build an AI-based insurance fraud prevention infrastructure along with measures to strengthen anti-money laundering (AML) capabilities. This is one of its reforms to address disruptive activities in financial markets and strengthen financial stability.
The comprehensive program also includes reforms in corporate governance, supervisory processes, and digital regulation to accelerate the adoption of AI in financial services. –Agency
