Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to operate night public transport from April 1. According to the metropolis, the buses will be operated from 8 pm to 11 pm.
According to KMC, one route will be from Lagankhel, Patan Hospital, Alka, Norvic, Maternity Hospital, Trauma Centre, Bir Hospital, Kanti Hospital, Teaching Hospital, Gangalal Heart Centre to Budhanilkantha. It is a 16-km one-way route from north to south.
The one-way distance from Thankot to the International Airport via Satungal, Kalanki, Kalimati, Tripureshwor, Thapathali, Maitighar Mandala, Baneshwor, Minbhawan and Tinkune is 20 kilometers in the east-west direction. There will be 4 night electric buses on these two routes. The metropolis is going to start it from the New Year in collaboration with Sajha Yatayat.
