KATHMANDU: Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited distributed visibility jackets to 150 safari riders at a program organized in Urlabari of Morang in coordination with Urlabari Municipality, Area Police Office, Urlabari and Traffic Police Office with the objective of promoting road safety under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
On the occasion, the bank’s Koshi Province Chief Khimlal Bhusal handed over the visibility jackets to the City Safari drivers in the presence of Ganga Prasad Kharel, Mayor of Urlabari Municipality.
The program was attended by the mayor, deputy mayor, administrative officer, representatives of Area Police Office, Urlabari and Traffic Police Office.
The event has been organized keeping in mind the safety and easy identification of the safari drivers who are deployed on the roads of Urlabari by ferrying passengers on a daily basis. The bank hopes that the use of visibility jackets will help the driver to see clearly on the road and contribute to reducing the risk of potential accidents, especially in the case of low light, evening hours and high traffic pressure.
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has been implementing various CSR programs in the areas of road safety, financial literacy, digital awareness, education and health by identifying the needs of the community.
