Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has organized a free health camp at Devghat, a religious pilgrimage site, on the auspicious occasion of Maghe Sankranti.
The health camp included breast cancer awareness, blood pressure check-up and diabetes screening. Bharatpur Hospital and B.P. Hospital More than 300 people had undergone health check-ups at the health camp which was conducted with technical support from Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.
The main objectives of the program were to help people in the community to identify health problems at an early stage, raise awareness about health and prevention.
Participants will be provided with health check-ups, counseling and necessary tips. P. Dr. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. Dr. Anil Babu Regmi, Bharatpur Hospital; Dr. Indra Pandit and Dr. Sushant Lamichhane.
Chief of Narayangadh Area, Surendra Bhandari said that such health camps would be conducted continuously in the days to come, saying such health camps would play an important role in improving the health status of the community and spreading health awareness.
The local community responded positively to the program and thanked the banks and health workers.
