Investors are surprised by the demand for shares in the name of Genji and locals

. Investors have started obstructing the construction of hydropower projects in the name of Genji and locals, demanding free shares and separate royalties.  Although the power projects have been issuing 10 percent shares to the locals as per the law of the Government of Nepal and paying royalty as per the government’s fix, the investors of the energy sector have been surprised after they started demanding free shares and millions of rupees in the name of Genji and the locals.

The power generation of the 45 MW Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project was halted for 32 days on September 10 with a demand of 10 percent free share in the name of the Jenji Group of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.TAG_OPEN_div_21 ।
