Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) for the current fiscal year 2082. Only 23 percent of the complaints have been settled till the third quarter of 2018-19.
According to the Insurance Reflection published by the NEA, the data of 9 months of the current fiscal year shows this. This shows that the judicial performance of the authority is very slow.
According to the data, the previous fiscal year 2081. A total of 514 complaints, including 394 from 82 to the central offices, were registered at the central office and 34 at the provincial offices till mid-April of the current fiscal year. Of them, only 118 complaints have been disposed of while 396 complaints are pending. Of the total complaints, 22.96 per cent have been settled while 77.04 per cent are yet to be settled.
According to the NRA, 85 complaints have been settled through verdict while 33 have been settled through consensus.
A total of 131 complaints were settled in the same period of the previous fiscal year. At that time, 525 complaints were registered at the NRA. Of the total complaints, 25 per cent were settled.
