Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has sought clarification from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Himalayan Reinsurance Company (HIC) and its top officials.
NEA Spokesperson and Director Pujan Dhunga said that the company has sought clarification from its top officials including CEO Upasana Poudel regarding the violation of the rules of the company. “The authority has directed the CEO and other senior officials of the company to send a satisfactory response within 7 days,” she said.
Spokesperson Adhikari said that if the answer is not satisfactory, the NRA will initiate the process of action.
Shekhar Golchha had resigned from the post of chairman of the company a few days ago. After this, Kiran Poudel has also resigned from the post of independent director of the company.
The company was recently restructured into a director. Udaya Kumar Niraula, Dipendra Kumar Mishra and Prithviraj Thapa have been appointed as directors. The meeting of the Board of Directors of the company had appointed Niraula as the Chairman of the company until the next AGM.
