Kathmandu. Insurance Authority of Nepal (IBA) for the current fiscal year 2082. In the 10 months of April, only 29 percent of the complaints have been settled.
The data released by the authority itself shows this. According to the statistics, 543 complaints were registered with the Insurance Authority till mid-April of the current fiscal year. In the last fiscal year 2081. A total of 394 complaints were transferred from 82 and 149 were filed till mid-April of the current fiscal year. A total of 45 complaints have been registered at NRA’s central office in 104 provinces this year.
Of the complaints lodged at the NRA, 157 were settled till April. This is only 28.91 percent of the total complaints.
Of the complaints that were settled, 117 were settled through verdicts and 40 through consensus, according to the NRA. Now, 386 complaints are yet to be settled.
The NRA is not making much progress in resolving complaints in the current fiscal year. Therefore, it can be assumed that the judicial performance of the Authority has been slow due to the continuous change of chairman and director this year.
In the last fiscal year, the NRA had cleared only 131 complaints. There were 525 complaints. Last year, the authority had been able to settle only 25 percent of the complaints.
