Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority, Gandaki State Office has held a discussion and interaction program with Byas municipality of Tanahun district. The programme was held at the meeting hall of the municipality on March 11 in the presence of local town residents, entrepreneurs, businessmen, farmers and employees.
The program was chaired by Shambhu Prasad Mishra, chief of Nepal Insurance Authority’s Gandaki Province Office. Mayor of Byas Municipality Baikuntha Neupane was the chief guest, Deputy Mayor Indira Dare was the special guest and the spokesperson of the same municipality Suresh Thapa was the special guest.
The program was divided into three sections and in the first section, President of Nepal Insurance Professionals Society (NIPS) Pokhara Chapter, Chhabilal Poudel, informed about the need, importance and current situation of life insurance.
In the second part of the program, Suresh Regmi, Treasurer of Nepal Insurance Professionals Society (NIPS) Pokhara Chapter shed light on the property, vehicle and orange farming under non-life insurance.
In the third segment of the program, Nepal Insurance Authority’s Gandaki State Office Chief Shambhu Prasad Mishra said that financial stability was possible only as insurance as a shield for risk mitigation and economic loss.
In the program, the question that all of us did not insure the risk of their own lives while insuring property and other means attracted everyone’s attention. Speaking at the program, chief guest and Mayor of Byas Municipality Baikuntha Neupane said that the municipality would give special emphasis on the insurance program in the upcoming budget and pledged to transfer the budget allocated for disaster management to the financial loss through insurance.
Pointing out that such type of insurance program was very necessary in the local government, he said that he was encouraged to move ahead by collaborating in the coming days.
