Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has settled 21 complaints in the current fiscal year 2083. In the first month of July 2084, 21 complaints have been settled.
The Insurance Authority has settled those complaints through verdict and agreement. Accordingly, 15 complaints have been settled through judgment and 6 complaints through agreement.
The authority had received 333 complaints till July. Of these, in the last fiscal year, 2082. There were 319 complaints transferred from 83. In the current fiscal year, there were 14 complaints, including 12 at the central office and two at the state office.
In the last fiscal year, the NRA had cleared only 281 complaints out of 600 complaints. The clearance rate is around 47 percent.
